This project is part of a conservation course at Memorial University of Newfoundland. It has been created in partnership with Bruce Rodriguez from the department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Bruce will take the collected data and information from the site for future use in conservation strategies for the Red Crossbill.
About Us
Devon
I am a 21 year old conservation and ecology student in my 4th year at Memorial University. I have always had a passion for animals and conservation, and work full time in the summers at Hope for Wildlife, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Nova Scotia. Because of my love for animals and conservation, this project is an exciting opportunity to help Red Crossbill recovery efforts.

I am a 4th year ecology and conservation student at Memorial University. I am originally from rural NB, where I had the pleasure of growing on a farm. My agricultural upbringing sparked my interest in biology and steered me into studying conservation. Since coming to Newfoundland I have developed a passion for bird watching, so this project is exciting for me as I love being a part of something that has the power to help preserve such a unique and beautiful bird.
